‘stop killing’ is a photo montage made from photos I took in New York City. The title comes from a picture I took along the streets of Harlem painted on a door. It was a rather blunt and real message that struck me as a young guy from the suburbs of Canada.

I developed this photo montage style while playing with photo editing software. I was initially trying to make matte paintings, same as you would see for a movie’s visual effects, but blending the photos together realistically was too difficult. I started to like how they could fit together while leaving the lines and edges.
