Sit back, star gaze and enjoy the Electric Universe

The ‘Electric Universe’ EP is a collection of experimental electronic songs. I’ve tried to push my own creative boundaries with this music not only sonically but also visually.

The name for ‘Electric Universe’ was inspired by a theory known as the ‘electric universe theory‘. I discovered it through several documentaries by the Thunderbolts Project. Just some fascinating ideas to contemplate.

NEW video for ‘Time in Mind

chillout, ambient, electronic

‘Time In Mind’, is a chilled out, downtempo type of thing. I think I’ve taken a lot of influence from one my of favourite albums, Aphex Twin’s ‘Selected Ambient Works 85-92’ on this.

‘Electric Universe’ is star gazing ambient jazz with electric keyboard and a variety of electric guitar experiments. The guitar was warped and reversed and fed through distortion and echo effects that created some very cool feedback loops.

This is a spacey synthwave style track with lots of synthesizer, hence the name ‘Spacewave’.

Normally I design audio visual videos myself but in this case I discovered a technique from this tutorial video that worked well. I customized it and added some camera movement. The wave reacts in many interesting ways to the music.

‘Aurora’ was started using some jazz style chords and piano. The angelic voice is that of Marie Ork, a voice synthesizer from AlterEgo.

More of my music is here.
